One of the National Institutes of Health, NEI was established by Congress in 1968 to protect and prolong the vision of the American people. It conducts and supports research on eye diseases and vision disorders and offers free publications for the general public and patients. Their site is the firsts to turn to for general information on the eye and related diseases and disorders and specific information on macular degeneration. |
